The Bluebeards Revenge – men’s grooming products

Spread the love

Wake up and smell the coffee…there’s nothing like a good, close, wet shave and hot shower set you up for the day. The Bluebeards Revenge have created a range of men’s grooming products to help you look and feel your best.

Have you spotted their shaving and hair products in the shops yet? The Bluebeards Revenge blue packaging is adorned by a silver skull and crossbones symbol, making it easy to identify on store shelving. The metallic lids of the company’s products are also embossed with the symbol, giving them a neat look on your bathroom cabinet. In case you wake bleary eyed and not quite with it, they’re easy to pick out in the morning light.

A close, wet shave

The Bluebeards Revenge shaving cream (RRP £9.99) comes in a 100ml tub. That’s enough for around 50 shaves.

The palm-sized tub is a good size for packing into a travel bag and lighter than most foam and gel tubes. It feels good to lather it up using a shaving brush then slapping it on using the supple hairs.

After a zinging close shave apply a soothing dollop of the opaque post-shave balm (RRP £9.99 for 100ml). The cooling balm feels fresh and quickly absorbs into your skin. It’s lightly scented and a pleasant alternative to an aftershave.

It only requires a tiny dab of matt clay (RRP £9.99 for 100ml) to bring hair under control. The gently scented clay should be worked for a few seconds between your fingers before being applied to your hair.

Alternatively, give the pomade (RRP £9.99 for 100ml) a go. Most heads of hair need about a pea-sized amount of the orangey gel to create shape and style. The pomade is non-greasy and has a delicate citrus-influenced scent.

Raising awareness of cancer affecting men

Unusually, the inner surface of The Bluebeards Revenge packaging is utilised to convey a serious message from Orchid, a charity established to undertake research and development treatment for cancers affecting men.

A black and white photo of the rugby star Phil Vickery, who played for England plus the British and Irish Lions, is printed on the underside of the lid. “Men – please read this! It could save your life!” stands in capitals next to his image.

The inside of the packaging then gives an overview of the symptoms of prostate, testicular and penile cancer.

Basically, if you find lumps where they shouldn’t be, blood where it isn’t expected or are experiencing pain, get on the phone to your doctor and make an appointment for a check-up. Do it as soon as possible – the symptoms might be indicative of nothing too nasty but early diagnosis could also save your life.

In the United Kingdom 35,000 are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year. Testicular cancer strikes around 2,000 men each year, while 400 suffer from cancer of the penis. If you’re in doubt, get a doctor to take a look at you, even if you are busy or not in pain. Man up and get yourself checked!
